Ethical Oversight
Ethical oversight in the ARENA HUKUM is essential in maintaining high standards throughout the publication process. Researchers must conduct research with scientific integrity, transparency, and respect for the rights of participants. Experienced reviewers and editor-in-chief are responsible for reviewing articles ethically, especially in research involving human subjects, sensitive data, or other ethical issues. Before publication, articles must meet ethical guidelines, including obtaining consent for human research and no plagiarism. Plagiarism detection software is used to ensure the originality of each article submitted. If there are ethical concerns, the editor-in-chief and reviewers will conduct a thorough review and take appropriate action, such as retracting the article or sanctioning the author for violations such as plagiarism or data manipulation. This commitment to ethical oversight helps create a dignified and transparent academic environment, maintaining high integrity in every article published.

Intellectual Property
Overview
Every author or editor of a work has a responsibility to monitor the use of thirdparty content, where the content is not the author's own, but the author copies or adapts it from other sources, such as images, data, charts, tables, quotes, interviews, logos/trademarks and screenshots, as well as social media content. This is a concern because third-party content is an intellectual work that must be respected and protected. In this regard, authors are advised to obtain permission (i.e., written authorization) from the rights holder to use third-party content when developing the manuscript. Permissions take time to process, so it is best to do so well in advance of the publication process so as not to delay publication.

In light of the above, ARENA HUKUM Journal is committed to making your process of obtaining permission to reuse, republish or distribute our content faster and easier. We support and facilitate various knowledge and thoughts of competent scientists, besides that we will also provide protection for our intellectual property, authors' copyrights and our partners.

Considering the importance of intellectual property, in order for ARENA HUKUM to publish and disseminate research articles, certain publication rights are required from the author, which are determined based on the publishing agreement between the author and ARENA HUKUM. Below are some copyright provisions that authors must be aware of:

Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).

If there are allegations of misconduct, the editors and editorial board will follow COPE guidelines to resolve the matter fairly. The process involves an investigation by the editors. Manuscripts containing misconduct will be rejected, while manuscripts that have been published and found to contain errors will be retracted and linked to the original article. The first step is to verify the allegations and assess the potential conflict of interest of the person reporting the misconduct.
